The Value of Scientific Contribution

Relations and collaboration with other institutions facilitates the value creation processes. Therefore, Laboratorios Normon encourages and strengthens these relations, helping us to react adequately to the challenges and opportunities in the sector. Our interest in cooperating with institutions is reflected in the large number of official plans in conjunction with the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas, CSIC (Council for Scientific Investigation), hospitals and universities

1971 Joint plan for “investigation into enzymes of industrial and therapeutic interest” in collaboration with the CSIC Enzymology Institute.

1980 Joint plan for the “Characterisation and properties of a new family of antibiotics: “microcins”, with the Faculty of Medicine Biochemistry Department at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), the CSIC Enzymology Institute and the
Microbiology Service of the Ramón y Cajal Hospital.

1985 Development plan for the “investigation and development of Actinomycetales-based biological response modifiers”, together with the Immunology Department of the CSIC Biological Research Centre.

1992 Incorporation into the Farma II plan with the project “technological evelopment of bioavailability and bioequivalence of repetitive and generic medicinal products” together with the Pharmacology Department of the UAM and La Paz Hospital.
Currently, Normon is involved in this generic medicinal product development plan, having developed 15 new products in 2005 (95 over the last 10 years), which undoubtedly represents a major investment.
